SEND - Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
Claire has extensive experience working with SEND children. Before becoming a teacher she worked as a 1:1 with various children, supporting them to access the curriculum.
As a class teacher she has supported children with SEND and liaised with outside providers such as speech and language specialists, ASD trained teachers and educational psychologists.
WITW endeavours to support local SEND children with outdoor learning trips designed to improve behaviour, concentration, and mood.
Learning can be planned, in the outdoors, which will help engage those children who may otherwise struggle to.
